What is the difference between the Blue Lagoon and the Secret Lagoon?
The Secret Lagoon is on the route; the Blue Lagoon costs more and is further away.
Secret Lagoon
Made in 1891 near Flúðir, kept at 38 to 40 °C, and close to the route. Tours stay 1.5 to 2 hours. Entry alone costs 4,500 ISK, and a tour starts at €121.
Blue Lagoon
Near Keflavík Airport, so tours reach it after the stops and stay about 2 hours. Entry alone starts at 11,990 ISK, and a tour with the ticket starts at €218.

It depends on where you want to end the day.
Laugarvatn Fontana is also on the route, from €160, and opens from 11:00 to 21:00 in winter.

Can you do the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon in one day?
Yes, on a tour of about 11 hours that ends at the lagoon.
Is the ticket included?
On most tours here, yes. Golden Circle with a ride to the Blue Lagoon, ticket not included is the exception: it only takes you there, so you buy the ticket yourself.
What should you bring?
A swimsuit, on all of them. At the Secret Lagoon, bring a towel or rent one. The Blue Lagoon tickets on these tours include a towel, and swimsuits can be rented there at your own cost.
Is 2 hours enough at the Blue Lagoon?
That is what these tours give. If you want longer, go separately: the lagoon is a separate trip from the Golden Circle.
Is the Blue Lagoon open?
Its site lists opening hours, but Safetravel lists an eruption area close to Grindavík, where the lagoon is. Check before you go.
Do you need to book the bath in advance?
With a tour, the ticket is part of the booking, except on Golden Circle with a ride to the Blue Lagoon, ticket not included. On your own, both the Secret Lagoon and Fontana advise booking ahead.

The route alone is shorter and cheaper.
